The key messages in my work focus on the human condition and grave injustices
in specific aspects of life. The images are matters of human experiences and, as such, connect all of mankind together. Thematically based on my personal experiences, these works reflect my understanding of issues of the soul, which frees me from the physical distractions that could hinder my connection to the spiritual world.
The many environments I traverse contribute to my ability to interpret my emotions through the stroke of my paintbrush or the chisel of my knife. It is with these tools that I hope engender in my viewers a deeper sense of the soul-transforming issues that they and other people face on a day-to-day basis. There is a particular focus on young people, who have been deprived of educational resources although they possess an undying will to learn.
My artwork aspires to explore both the diversity of the natural world that I absorb and the supernatural connection that binds all human beings together. Art is the fabric of human society because it records and links many histories and cultures. It is this characteristic of art that compels me to create. The following statement taken from an African proverb sums up how I feel my work is part of that fabric of life: "something to look at; something to think about
